RAIN LEAVES THUNDER PRAYER

This video was recorded in September 2013 during my artist residency in Ibrahimpasa, Cappadoccia. While filming for my project 'Figure A' it started raining and I sheltered among the village ruins. Standing there, I noticed how the sound was like the texture of the leaves. I turned on my camera. Then I listened to the force of the rain ebbing and flowing and the thunder harmonising with the caller. It was a very special moment.
